Company Background: One of Southern California's largest roofing tile manufacturers.
Challenge: To Turnkey upgrade eleven older DC drives and thirty axis of Servos using as much existing hardware as possible and interfacing with existing Allen Bradley PLC5 and Reliance Automax Control Systems. The work had to be pre-engineered and built to install and startup during a short Christmas shutdown.
Solution: The engineered panels were pre-fabricated and then installed the first week of the shutdown. The second week was used to commission the systems.
Results: Significant reduction in downtime and costs to support dated equipment. Control Concepts was awarded the "POP BRONZE" award by Owens Corning for implementing this project.
